The first year of the CLIC program involves a transformational journey of individuals to improve the culture of the school as a whole. Junior and Senior student leaders are empowered to become mentors to the first-year students in their high school. Resources are available to help facilitate the process of the roundtable method of growth.
We use the roundtable method of growth because this method has been used in countries all over the world to make positive changes in culture and communities.
Improving the culture of an organization changes the expectations, and creates an environment of possibilities, rather than limitation.
Year two focuses on working together to improve the climate within the school, and emphasizes the idea that WE is greater than ME. It includes being intentional about creating the culture, climate, and community partners needed to make our school great!
Sophomore Students learn how to plan and execute their own homeroom-based community service plan. This is coordinated by student leaders in the sophomore class who have been identified as potential CLIC leaders as juniors. This is the planning ground that they can use to can lead the efforts of the class.

Year three and beyond involves moving from developing school climate to improving the communities the schools are in. Students should be involved in at least one local service project as well as a global service project. Create the legacy...
By now, the freshman class who were first introduced are eligible to become CLIC leaders as Juniors. This is where the sustainability takes over. When students are treated well when they walk in the door on day one, they want to be involved in making the first day for another students just as amazing if not better!! Your school will never go back to the old way of negative, mean, and hateful culture... Your students have hope. Your students know how it's done. Your students are CLIC leaders!
